As a designer, I love the creative freedom we have – every project is different and we’re able to really understand each space and create something completely unique. I’ve also had some brilliant opportunities through IP, from travelling across the UK and Ireland, visiting sites and suppliers to enjoying events at our Manchester City box. I’m now looking at additional courses in project management to further develop my knowledge and expertise, with the support of the team.”

The projects I have worked on at Inspired have ranged from small-scale fit-outs to working with tier-one construction companies on new developments. My first project was on a listed building, over two sites, and included everything from a light refurbishment in areas that formed part of the building’s listed status to removing structural walls to open up areas and create new spaces.

The opportunity to grow and develop at inspired is excellent, whether it be support in CPD with professional qualifications or being in the deep end ‘mucking in’ with additional responsibilities where needed. This is the benefit of working for a smaller company where you don’t just feel like a small cog in a big machine.

The team at Inspired, from designer to admin to director, carries the same ethos of teamwork and support; it’s refreshing and certainly a favourite part of the role for me, someone who has historically only worked at large corporate companies. It’s a frequent sight to see the office celebrating a birthday, having a post-work pint, or even an occasional sports day.”
