Environmental Policy

 

Understanding the Context of the Organisation

 

Inspired Project Developments Limited will determine both the internal and external issues that are relevant to the organisation and that have both a direct influence on the effectiveness of the environmental management and an impact on global environmental and sustainability issues. In doing so Inspired Projects Development Limited will consider the following issues when developing and implementing its business strategy.

 

  • Air quality including both local and global
  • Water quality and preventing contamination of controlled
  • Land
  • Existing contamination and remediation
  • Natural resources and their
  • Protection and enhancement of both local ecology and biodiversity and that of the wider

 

In addition to the above core values Inspired Project Developments Limited will also consider the implications and risks to our business in respect of: –

In applying the above criteria and techniques Inspired Project Developments Limited will actively manage and implement programs, procedures and its business strategy to mitigate against pollution and harm to the environment and global climate change.

Understanding the needs and expectations of interested parties

Inspired Project Developments Limited will carry out regular reviews with regards to all interested parties whether internal or external. In doing so Inspired Projects Development Limited will consider the needs and expectations of interested parties in terms of overarching environmental strategy and performance.

The management of Inspired Projects Development Limited recognise the environmental implications of their activities and are committed to ensuring that high operational standards are achieved, improved upon and maintained to ensure a high level of environmental care. We undertake to monitor and revise where necessary, all our procedures and practices which affect the environment, to ensure continual improvement and to prevent environmental damage and pollution by: –

 

Prevention of pollution

 

Use of Processes, practice, techniques, materials, product, services or energy to avoid, reduce or control (separately or in combination) the creation, emissions or discharge of any type of pollution or waste, in order to reduce adverse environmental impacts.

 

Prevention of pollution can include source reduction or elimination, process, product or services changes, efficient use of resources materials and energy substitution, reuse, recycling, reclamation and treatment.

The management will commit to: –

 

  • comply with all relevant current environmental compliance obligations, industry standards and other requirements which relate to our environmental aspects; and will ensure that all staff and operatives are equally aware of the commitment.
  • will demonstrate leadership and commitment by leading from the top and wherever possible integration of environmental management into business processes.
  • assign and communicate the roles, responsibilities and authority for those who facilitate effective
  • promote environmental awareness, practices and procedures throughout operations and ensure that operatives and subcontractors are suitably trained in environmental issues where necessary.
  • provide communication channels both to pass on relevant environmental information to staff, and to allow staff, external bodies and interested parties to communicate effectively with management.
  • sustainable development through a commitment to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
  • actively seek to reduce waste through re-use, recycling and by purchasing recycled, recyclable, or refurbished products and materials where these alternatives are available, economical and suitable.
  • arrange for all materials to be handled and disposed of in a safe and responsible manner, to minimise environmental damage and pollution.
  • cause the impact of the Company’s operations on the environment, the local community and the
  • general public to be controlled in such a manner that the short and long-term effects are
  • promote and develop improved standards and methods of working, to ensure efficient use of construction materials and energy; and to minimise waste
  • seek opportunities to reduce impact through the sourcing and procurement of materials and services
  • accommodate customer environmental compliance obligations and standards within established practices and procedures.
  • establish objectives and targets and track progress against these to drive continual improvement of environmental performance and address risk associated with threats and

We all have a personal responsibility to maintain and improve the environment in which we live. This Company expects all its personnel and partners to contribute to the fulfilment of this Environmental Policy.

All new employees are issued with a copy of the policy on joining the company. A copy of this Policy shall be made available to members of the public on request.

Our environmental goals for the coming year are:

  1. Installation of an Environmental Management System and to train all employees on the importance of its implementation.
  2. Reduce the use of paper during office operations.

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Policy

 

Introduction

Our mission is to seek to identify areas of risk and opportunity to ensure that our business decisions and policies address opportunities for creating a sustainable future as well as meeting in-scope regulatory enforcements. At Inspired Projects Development Limited we take our sustainability goals very seriously, and we will strive to enhance our efforts in sustainability initiatives whilst continuing to be transparent and honest as we look ahead.

Scope

This Policy applies to all Inspired Projects Development Limited and our suppliers. This Policy sets out the environmental, social and governance (ESG) topics which are most material for Inspired Projects Development Limited and our operations and how we manage these.

Our Employees

Our most important resource is our employees; therefore, we are committed to enhancing the development, engagement, and retention of all our employees. Our annual training budgets are allocated to each manager to use at their discretion in a fair and transparent manner.

For all employees, there is a year-end review to facilitate discussions around performance and development. This process is conducted transparently and fairly. In addition, we provide opportunities through surveys for employees to submit feedback and questions for the company.

Employee Wellbeing

Within the company we have a mental health First aider and Workplace advocate, who strives to support the wellbeing of all our employees. We do this through a series of regular wellbeing toolbox talks and training.

Environmental Impacts

At Inspired Projects Development Limited, we understand the urgency with which society and businesses must address the impacts of climate change. As such, we are committed to minimising our impact on the environment.

We acknowledge our role in the transition to the low carbon economy as well as the risks and opportunities that this presents. Through reducing and offsetting excess GHG emissions, we aim to lower our year-on-year carbon footprint. Through improving energy efficiency at our offices, switching to more energy efficient providers of IT services, promoting a hybrid working model and limiting business travel, we aim to lower our carbon footprint.

We are encouraging employees to only travel when necessary and to use video conferencing as much as possible. Inspired Projects Development Limited priority is to ensure corporate travel is closely monitored and managed.

We are committed to waste minimisation and recycling across all our operations. Due to the nature of our activities unavoidable volumes of waste are produced by our operations; however, all sites and offices practice responsible waste and recycling programmes and strive for zero waste to landfill.

Approach to Governance

Inspired Projects Development Limited is committed to maintaining compliance with legal requirements in the areas where it operates. It is also our policy to conduct business in an honest and ethical manner and ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

We take a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption and are committed to acting with integrity. We monitor our client engagements to ensure that bribery and corruption risks are avoided. We also build employee awareness of this through training provided during the induction process.

We believe that we should not receive benefits of any kind from third parties which might reasonably be seen to compromise our personal judgement and integrity.

We are committed minimising and preventing the extent to which Inspired Development Projects Limited can be used to further financial crime.

Inspired Projects Limited encourages all employees and external stakeholders who have serious concerns about any aspect of our operations to come forward and voice those concerns via our formal reporting system. We have a process for anonymous whistleblowing which our employees, clients and suppliers can use to raise any concerns or report any behaviour that breaches our policies. We have a robust structure in place to address and resolve the concerns raised. All whistleblowing reports are reported to the Director in a timely and sensitive manner.

We recognise the importance of gaining commitment to our Environmental, Social, and Governance Policy from all levels within our company, from senior management, our employees and our suppliers, all of which are responsible for adhering to the principles of this policy.

Review

This Environmental, Social, and Governance Policy and underlying Environmental, Social, and Governance related policies will be reviewed on an annual basis by the Director and updated if required to ensure that we continue to reflect our vision and commitments.
